Larry Scott Berland, 66 of Chesterton, IN, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016. He was born January 3, 1950 to Alton and Bertha Berland.

Larry was a long time employee of Bethlehem Steel, retiring after 40 plus years with them. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors, and was a loving father and grandfather.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; Alton and Bertha Berland, wife; Debbie Berland, daughter; Beth Berland, and brother; Mark Berland. He is survived by children; Erica Mahns, Josh (Star) Mahns, and Dustin (Dena) Scott, grandchildren; Trenton Baker, Jacob Mahns, Caleb Mahns, Abigail Scott, and Carter Scott, and his cousin; Mary Lucius.
